Recently, fake Disney pages have appeared on Facebook claiming to be giving away free tickets.
Hoax Slayer discovered one such fake page, titled “ Disneyland Summer Vacation , ” which claims to be giving away 412 free tickets.
“We have 412 tickets that were returned and therefore cannot be resold, so we have no choice but to distribute them to our page friends!” reads a post on the fake page.
"We have 412 tickets that have been returned therefore we can NOT resell them, and have no choice but to give them away to YOU our fans!"
To win the tickets, you must like and share their message so that as many people as possible see it.
Actually, this has nothing to do with Disney. The scammers are trying to get likes for their Facebook page.
We had mentioned in a previous post means Like farming on Facebook.
Once the page has a sufficient number of likes, it can be used to advertise various products and services, as well as to trick their friends by sending them to other malicious websites.
This isn't the first time scammers have used Disney to gain likes, which they use for their own malicious purposes.
