"Super-smart" thieves post selfies with the money they grabbed - They were immediately arrested
An Ohio couple has been arrested on bank robbery charges after posting photos of the stolen money online.
John Mogan, 28 years old, had just been released from prison when he entered a bank in Ashville on August 24 and gave the cashier a note demanding money, which she then handed to him.
The police were shocked when Mogan posted photos of himself on Facebook, together with his 24-year-old girlfriend, Ashley Duboe, posing with the stolen money. Something that was not a very good idea.
Once the photos were published, it was all over. The police tracked down the suspects and arrested them for the robbery (and probably for taking these kinds of selfies…).
Both Duboe and Mogan were charged with robbery and theft and are being held on $250,000 bail.
Mogan had served five years in prison for an earlier bank robbery.
