Google Calendar – Our beloved calendar puts an end to sending event notifications via text message to your mobile phone
Google Calendar notifies users of new events via SMS and email, however, as of June 27, the SMS method will stop.
The reason?
The company considers SMS notification to be quite outdated, as on modern smartphones, an email notification clearly contains more information about the event compared to SMS.
This decision by Google will be a problem for those who do not have a smartphone to receive their emails directly.
Finally, the company recommends using the app for Android and iOS.
