Nobody cares about your social media posts

social appsTired of the daily social media updates? Don't throw your smartphone out the window just yet.

Getting 182 Likes on your new Facebook is exciting, and that picture you uploaded from the beach on Instagram probably made your friends jealous. But sometimes, all you need is to step away and use a different part of your brain. The part of your brain that thinks more than 140 characters at a time.

State.com has released a brutally honest ad for its new app, which it hopes will serve as an online “haven” for opinions. The millions of registered topics range from politics to music preferences, which are available for users to rate and comment on. These user opinions are then recorded and turned into graphs.

Although turning people's opinions into graphs may seem exactly like compressing them into hashtags, the company's entertaining video, aptly titled "You are what you share," still makes an important point about our social media.
