Twitter is dealing with suspicious logins and password thefts

TwitterTwitter it handles passwords and made it harder for attackers to compromise users' accounts.

Following the publication of Heartbleed and a series of attacks on personal accounts, security is a top priority for the social network. Twitter said in a blog post that the changes are aimed at preserving the integrity of individual accounts and cleaning up the authentication and password reset processes.

“We know that some of you have difficulty accessing your Twitter account from time to time, and regardless of the circumstances, we want you to be able to recover your account quickly and securely,” the post said. “So today we’re starting to roll out two improvements to help protect your account and regain access: an improved password reset experience and better identification and blocking of suspicious connections.”.
