Nintendo has launched the official Nintendo Store app , allowing more fans to access the eShop via iPhone (iOS), iPad and Android devices . Five years after its launch exclusively in Japan as the “My Nintendo” app, Nintendo is now expanding the iOS and Android experience under a new name and to new regions, including the US, UK, Canada and most of Europe.

According to listings on the App Store and Play Store, the Nintendo Store app allows users to browse and purchase Switch 2 and Switch consoles, hardware accessories, physical and digital games, and other Nintendo products. The app will open a page in your device's default web browser when products are selected for purchase. Therefore, no in-app purchases will be completed. However, it still remains a more convenient way to access the Nintendo eShop, compared to manually visiting the store via a mobile browser.
Nintendo Store on iOS and Android: New features
A Nintendo Account and Network ID are required to access some features of the app, including the ability to check your history , which shows which games you played, when you played them, and for how long. This includes data from Switch, Switch 2, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U, although the latter two consoles will only show game activity until February 2020. Players could previously only access this information through their parental control settings.

Other features include the ability notifications push to set up when items you've saved to your wishlist are on sale, as well as a news feed for the latest Nintendo games and events. The app also provides users with a way to earn rewards by using it to check in to official Nintendo stores and events. This is the latest in a series of news feeds that Nintendo has released for its services, along with the Nintendo Music app and the Nintendo Today news app .
