The NexLawn Master X Series Concept could also feature a robotic arm if it ever makes it to market. Several autonomous lawn mowers were shown or introduced at IFA in Berlin this year, but only one of them is equipped with a robotic arm.
NexLawn, a sub-brand of MOVA owned by parent company Dreame, has announced the Master X Series Concept, which it describes as “the first robotic lawnmower with a fully functional mechanical arm.”

This arm is designed to reduce the amount of manual maintenance required for those who own and operate robotic lawnmowers, such as picking up fallen branches or debris that could damage the robot or force it to navigate around obstacles. The arm folds to a length of 44.5 cm, extends to 77 cm, and can reach up to a meter when performing outdoor tasks. NexLawn says it comes with multiple interchangeable attachments , including a multi-handle, a cutting head, and a contour head, with more being developed.

The Master X Series Concept is capable of “mowing, weeding, picking fruit, and even interacting with pets,” according to NexLawn’s press release. A 3D animated demonstration video shows the mower throwing a ball to a dog, for example, though it’s hard to imagine a dog interacting positively with such a distinctly non-anthropomorphic device.

The inclusion of the word “Concept” in its name suggests that this isn’t a product ready for consumers to actually buy, but some concept products eventually evolve into something tangible. NexLawn hasn’t mentioned a price or release date, however, so any potential launch is likely far in the future.
