In iOS 18.2 , Siri finally gets the long-awaited integration with ChatGPT, as Apple promised .

Now, for more complex questions, Siri will utilize chatbot , replacing traditional web search.
See how it works:
Step 1: Update to iOS 18.2
You must be running iOS 18.2 or later to use ChatGPT with Siri. First, install the iOS 18.2 update on your iPhone. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and select the iOS 18.2 (or later) update by tapping the blue “Update Now” button. It’s a good practice to keep your iPhone plugged into a power source during the update, but it’s not necessary.

Step 2: Change language
A quick note for those outside the US. Siri and ChatGPT integration is currently only available in the US, but you can easily get around this barrier by changing Siri's language to English (United States). You'll find this setting in Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri.
Step 3: Set up ChatGPT
Open the Settings app and find the Apple Intelligence & Siri section. Scroll down to the Extensions section and you'll see an entry for ChatGPT. Tap it and enable the "Set up..." option next to "Use ChatGPT." Tap it.
Step 4: Click Next
You will see a page with information about ChatGPT. Read the information and then click "Next".
Step 5: Click Enable ChatGPT

You will now see a page about Privacy and ChatGPT. Read the information and if you agree, click the “Activate ChatGPT” button. If you already have a ChatGPT account, click “Use ChatGPT with Account” and log in.

Step 6: Log in
Once ChatGPT is activated, you can log in at any time with your ChatGPT login details via ChatGPT settings. If you log in, ChatGPT may keep a record of what you have requested.
Step 7: ChatGPT Daily Limit
In Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > ChatGPT, you'll notice that your daily limit is listed. All is well if it says "Under limit." You'll have access to ChatGPT's advanced features until you reach your daily limit (which isn't disclosed, as it likely depends on how busy the servers are that day). After that, you'll be downgraded to the basic version of ChatGPT for up to 24 hours.
Step 8: Upgrade to ChatGPT Plus

If you want to always have access to the best features of ChatGPT and never be downgraded to the basic version, you can upgrade to ChatGPT Plus for $20 per month (£16/AU$30), and you can do this through Settings.
Step 9: Confirm requests?

The last option in the ChatGPT settings is “Confirm ChatGPT Requests” – this setting controls whether Siri will ask you before sending your requests to OpenAI. If you turn this off, Siri will not ask you before sending data to ChatGPT and will send it directly, saving you time.
When it comes to using Siri with ChatGPT, it's super simple. Activate Siri with the voice command "Hey Siri" or by holding down the sleep/wake button, and when Siri is ready, ask her something complex that goes beyond her normal capabilities, for example: "I'd like to organize a camping trip to Australia, please."
You can also connect Siri to ChatGPT on macOS Sequoia 15.2. The steps are almost the same as those listed above for iOS 18.2. If you are outside the US, you will need to change the language setting in Apple Intelligence & Siri to English (United States) to use Siri at this time.
Set up ChatGPT

Open the Settings app on macOS Sequoia and look for the Apple Intelligence & Siri option. Here, click on ChatGPT and then tap the “Setup…” button to enable ChatGPT.
