Siri will be significantly improved on iPhones in the spring of 2025, when Apple releases the Apple Intelligence AI system via the iOS 18.4 update , according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman .
This information is now more certain than what Apple had announced so far, as until recently it had only been reported that the top AI features would be available next year.

Apple often introduces new features to its iPhone operating systems through regular updates. For example, Siri may gain the ability (via Apple Intelligence) to perform various actions on your behalf, such as identifying you from a library of 20,000 photos in Photos and copying your driver's license number to enter into an online form.
However, features like AI-powered emoji creation or assistive writing capabilities may not be ready yet. While Gurman doesn't directly mention this, it's good to keep that in mind.
What lies ahead will become clearer as iOS 18 betas begin to roll out the features this year, and as version 18.4 approaches. Meanwhile, new features are expected this fall, including ChatGPT integration , a revamped Siri interface that replaces the old circular graphic with a pulsating rainbow around the inside of the screen, and deeper product knowledge that allows Siri to provide basic technical support.

Apple's AI plan appears to include the rumored AirPods with built-in cameras, according to a recent rumor from supply chain Ming-Chi Kuo. According to Kuo, these AirPods will feature infrared sensors and work in conjunction with Vision Pro to detect gestures and motion.

Gurman describes a device similar to Meta's Ray-Ban, suggesting that AI could process images to describe your surroundings or help you navigate as you walk. According to Gurman, the new AirPods Pro could be two generations away.
