Apple has announced that it will update several of its services to fix a recent vulnerability discovered in Siri, the iOS.
The vulnerability discovered in Siri could allow a hacker to gain access to information even through a locked device, experts say. When a device is locked, the digital assistant can process voice commands, which could lead to access to contacts and other sensitive data.

In its latest patches, Apple is limiting these options to prevent malicious actors from exploiting this vulnerability, even if they have physical access to a device.
In addition to the iPhone, the company is patching a similar vulnerability in the Apple Watch, as well as in iOS, iPadOS , and macOS Ventura. Apple is working with security experts to ensure its users are protected from potential threats. These updates include improvements to voice recognition and restrictions on access to sensitive information through Siri.

Users should update to the latest iOS and iPadOS software version, namely iOS 17.6 or iPadOS 17.6, in order to address such vulnerabilities by going to Settings, selecting General , and then Software Update.
