For the AMD X870E motherboard series, ASRock has so far introduced six new designs, which include the Taichi , Taichi Lite , Nova WIFI , Riptide , Steel Legend & PRO RS series . All of these motherboards feature updated specifications and brand-new I/O capabilities , along with revised designs that offer user quality of life improvements. In addition, all of these motherboards feature ready support for AMD 's Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPUs launching next month.
ASRock X870E Taichi

Starting at the top, we have the ASRock X870E Taichi. This is ASRock's top-of-the-line motherboard, featuring 27 power phases (110A SPS), two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, four DDR5 DIMM slots, four M.2 slots (1 Gen5 + 3 Gen 4), dual USB4 Type-C ports, 5GbE LAN, WIFI7, and more. In terms of design, the ASRock X870E Taichi features an E-ATX form factor that adopts a very stylish gold and black color scheme with large RGB-lit plates on the I/O cover and PCH heatsink. The motherboard should also be one of the best for overclocking among the ASRock X870E series, and its price should be above the 500$.

ASRock X870E Taichi LITE

If the ASRock X870E Taichi is a bit pricey for you, then the motherboard manufacturer is also planning to create a LITE version of the same motherboard that only removes the fancy RGB and backlit plates, but the rest of the hardware remains the same, while its price will be US$100-150 cheaper.

ASRock X870E NOVA WIFI

ASRock will also have the X870E NOVA WIFI available, which is the top-of-the-line offering in the Phantom Gaming series. The motherboard was not available when we visited ASRock’s booth, but the spec sheet revealed a 23-phase power design (110A SPS), a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, 4 DDR5 DIMM slots, 4 M.2 slots (1 Gen5, 3 Gen4, 1 Gen3), dual USB4 Type-C ports, 5GbE LAN, WIFI7, and the ALC4082 audio codec. A very attractive choice for the features.

ASRock X870 Riptide WIFI

The other Phantom Gaming series motherboard introduced is the X870 Riptide WIFI, which is a simpler version of the Nova. It features a 17-phase power delivery (80A Dr.MOS), a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, four DDR5 DIMM memory slots, three M.2 slots (1 Gen5, 2 Gen4), dual USB4 ports, 2.5 GbE LAN, WIFI7, and the same ALC4082 audio codec.

ASRock X870 Steel Legend

Moving on to the more mainstream options, we first come across the X870 Steel Legend motherboard, which adopts a white color scheme and has a very professional look. It features a 17-phase power delivery (80A Dr.MOS) with WIFI 7, dual USB4 Type-C ports, and similar M.2 specifications to the Riptide model.

ASRock AMD X870 PRO RS WIFI

The last and second white motherboard in the ASRock AMD X870 series is the PRO RS WIFI, which is expected to be priced between US$220-250. It features a 17-phase power delivery (80A Dr.MOS), a PCIe 5.0 slot, four DDR5 DIMM memory slots, three M.2 slots (1 Gen5, 1 Gen4, 1 Gen3), dual USB4 ports, WIFI7 and 2.5 GbE LAN.
