It's called Elsewhere Entertainment and will be based in Warsaw, Poland, with additional staff in the United States. The employees' credentials include work on "The Last of Us," "Uncharted," "The Witcher," "Cyberpunk," "Destiny," "Tom Clancy's The Division" and "Far Cry."
According to Activision, “Built from the ground up, Elsewhere Entertainment is a leading independent studio dedicated to creating an environment that inspires bold and diverse ideas. The team’s underlying mission encourages everyone to explore and collaborate creatively to build a franchise with a timeless legacy that resonates far beyond gaming.”

No other specific information was provided about the Microsoft-owned studio, although Activision noted that Elsewhere Entertainment will have access to Activision resources during the development and production of its new franchise from scratch.
The launch of Elsewhere Entertainment comes a week after closed three Xbox studios run by publisher Bethesda Softworks, including Arkane Austin, Alpha Dog Studios, and Tango Gameworks. Additionally, Xbox moved the Roundhouse Games team to work on “The Elder Scrolls Online” under ZeniMax Online Studios.
Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty said these “difficult decisions” were made to “create capacity to increase investment in other parts of our portfolio and focus on our priority games,” and some employees at the closed studios will be transferred to other remaining Microsoft game studios.
