Google be working on a new feature for its Google Messages that would let you edit a message after you send it, according to code spotted by TheSpAndroid. Reports of the new feature first appeared in a beta version of the app on November 19, and there are four flags that appear to indicate it, though trying to enable them reportedly does nothing.

The potential appearance of such a feature in Google Messages is not surprising, since more and more messaging apps allow you to edit messages even after they are sent . For example, Apple gave iMessage users the ability to edit sent messages with iOS 16. WhatsApp launched a similar feature earlier in 2023. However, there is a limited time to edit sent messages — two minutes for iMessage and 15 for WhatsApp. These apps also allow you to delete messages after they are sent.

However, Google has not officially commented on the arrival of this feature or explained how this feature might ultimately work in Google Messages. We do not know if there will be a time limit for editing messages or if a recipient will be able to see an editing history.
Edit text messages after sending
One of the best techniques for editing text messages that have already been sent is to carefully text. This allows you to spot any errors that you want to correct. Look for spelling, grammar, and syntax errors, as well as inaccuracies or ambiguities in your expression.

Another important technique is to look for contradictions or contrasts in the text. Check for illogical or contradictory sentences and try to correct or delete them. This will improve the coherence and accuracy of the text.

Finally, don’t forget to review your word choice and usage. See if you can improve the accuracy, clarity, and expressiveness of your text by replacing or adding words. This will help achieve a more readable message.
