With production set to begin next quarter, commercial EV startup Volta Trucks is proud to announce that it has secured orders for more than 300 of its powerful Volta Zero all-electric trucks. Volt Trucks’ secured orders for 2023 are a significant part of its production goals, demonstrating customer interest and generating excitement as initial EV deliveries and expansion into other markets.

Based in London, Volta Trucks is a commercial electric truck that provides “trucks as a service” (TaaS). Since its founding in 2019, the company has been dedicated to designing and building its first commercial truck: the Volta Zero. This vehicle started as a simple idea, but has since evolved into a complex reality.
The Zero, Volta's 16-ton electric truck, is the first of four new variants set to be launched by 2025. In the meantime, Volta is focused on achieving large-scale production of its flagship model, while also providing information on its progress.
Last fall, Volta Zero electric truck prototypes were tested in incredibly high temperatures, and soon after, we received news that the first Zero had been assembled overseas. This marked the start of the final phase before the start of commercial production of this 16-ton model!

The Volta Zero is a pure electric truck designed to meet distribution needs. It has a range of over 100 miles on a single charge, making it ideal for shorter city trips. The truck also has a low center of gravity, making it safer to drive than traditional diesel trucks. In addition, it features an advanced telematics system that allows managers to monitor their trucks in real time and monitor driver performance.
With production scheduled to begin in the coming months, Volta Trucks has already racked up orders . In a press release issued this morning, Volta Trucks said that demand for its electric truck production has been so high that all of its planned initial production slots have already been filled!
Through the acquisition of these customer orders, Volta anticipates a phenomenal revenue inflow totaling over €85 million ($92 million)! Volta Trucks CEO Essa Al-Salehproudly highlighted the company’s growing order book in a recent statement.

Volta is proud to announce that its factory in Steyr, Austria, is ready to meet the recent increase in customer demand.
As previously announced, Volta plans to begin selling electric trucks in the US by 2024. To begin this process, it will launch a pilot program scheduled for later this year in Los Angeles.
