Twitter: Pays special attention to bookmarks on iOS

Twitter is an incredibly powerful platform, not only for connecting with people but also for keeping up with the latest news and trends. With its fast-paced environment, it can be difficult to keep up with everything you want to read or refer back to later. That's where Twitter bookmarks come in. This feature allows you to save tweets that you want to revisit later so you don't have to spend time scrolling through timeline or searching for a specific tweet.

Until recently, you had to go through multiple steps to save a tweet – clicking the share button, opening the share card, and selecting the bookmark. But now, it’s easy! All you have to do is simply tap the bookmark option at any time while viewing your tweet, and voila – it’s saved! Tap the new button, and a banner will immediately appear at the top of your screen that says: “Show all bookmarks.”

For now, this feature is only visible on the iOS app; however, it wouldn't be surprising if Twitter expanded its availability to Android and web users soon.

This month, Elon Musk promised that the bookmark button would be included in the tweet preview. After a long wait, the product is now rolling out to iOS users. By now, the “Like” button has become a tool for many people who want to save and refer to tweets without the hassle of manually bookmarking them. However, this new placement of the button could potentially make a difference.

With the introduction of Twitter Blue for Android users, you can now organize your bookmarks into folders for greater clarity! This feature is especially beneficial if you’re already a Twitter Blue subscriber. To make navigation even easier, Twitter recently updated its Android app so that the two timeline options appear side-by-side in separate tabs. Last week, the company officially launched the “For You” timeline and the “Following” timeline on iOS devices.

Even when you closed the tab, Twitter would remember your timeline preferences at that point. For example, when you select the “Following” tab and open Twitter in a new window after closing it, your timeline with everyone you follow will be displayed by default. Apparently, the company has transformed its layout so that if you reload or open Twitter in a new tab, the “For You” feed will be displayed by default.

Last night, the company made new changes to API , effectively cracking down on third-party apps. As a result, well-known apps like Twitterrific have begun removing apps from app stores.
