
Twitter has announced that its new ' Verification for Organisations ' feature, previously known as ' Blue for Business ', will be available soon. The Elon Musk - owned micro-blogging platform will review applications and a small number of organisations will start using the feature soon.
The company announced the new feature in a tweet posted on Friday. “We’re launching Verification for Organizations, formerly known as Blue for Business, soon. Today, you can apply for early access through our waitlist.”
In a subsequent tweet, the company wrote: “We will review applications and open access to a limited group of organizations on a rolling basis in the coming weeks.”

Twitter said that as subscribers, users and their businesses will receive business accounts and affiliation badges through the platform’s self-serve administrative portal. By creating this connection, the micro-blogging platform aims to enable businesses to build networks within their own organizations – on Twitter.
Companies can connect their leadership, brands, accounts , employees or teams to the Twitter platform. Journalists, athletes and film characters can also be connected. Twitter has stated that sub-accounts will be certified and linked to their parent hundle according to a list submitted by the organization itself. Further details, such as the necessary criteria, the costs involved as well as the steps required to start this process, will be officially announced soon.

“This is an incredible time for organizations to further integrate their connected people, businesses, and brands into Twitter’s DNA. Going forward, we plan to add more value to the offering to help organizations and their partners get the most out of Twitter,” the microblogging platform noted. Twitter’s ‘Verification for Organizations’ feature will now be piloted with a select group of businesses. Twitter will roll it out to more organizations in the coming days.
