Today, the company revealed the new capabilities and improvements coming in the Google Play March 2022 update.

According to the updated support page, the Google Play March 2022 system update will bring significant bug fixes for device connectivity, developer services, and utility-related services. Additionally, the new update brings an update to the Play Games Services profile to make it easier for users to manage privacy settings .
There are many new changes for the Google Play Store, including improvements to the Play-as-you-download capability, new features for Play Pass (which was recently expanded to India) and the Play Points programs, as well as various other improvements and optimizations for security stability and accessibility. Finally, the March 2022 update brings an improved user experience and «capability training» for NFC/HCE devices.
