Last year was a big year for gaming (games and consoles). Final Fantasy 7 Remake was released after a 15-year wait, followed by blockbusters The Last of Us 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. Animal Crossing also made an unexpected splash. And Sony and Xbox both unveiled their next-gen platforms in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, respectively.

So what's coming in 2021? Lots. Unfortunately, most of the most popular games haven't announced their release dates yet. Below you'll find a list of five very promising games that are coming.
Hitman 3 (Release date: January 20)

IO Interactive rebooted the classic Hitman game in 2016. After a strong sequel (2018's Hitman 2), the series will conclude with the third installment on January 20. "You'll travel the world and kill interesting people," says a recently released trailer. Who can say no to a game like that?
Hitman 3 will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Switch, Stadia and PC.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Release date: February 12)

Super Mario 3D World is the latest WiiU game to be ported to the Switch. The WiiU has been home to many great games. This includes Mario Kart 8, the best-selling game on the Switch. Super Mario 3D World has received universal acclaim since its initial release, so it's definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake (Release date: March 18)

Remasters are cool, but remakes can be truly magical. After Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 2, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake, three fantastic remakes, 2021 brings Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. This particular game was originally released in 2003 for the PlayStation 2, and Ubisoft is really doing a great job of updating it and releasing in 2021.
Price of Persia: Sands of Time is scheduled to release on PC, Xbox One , and PS4.
Monster Hunter Rise (Release date: March 26)

Following Monster Hunter World, which launched on PS4 and Xbox One in 2018, and the port of the 3DS game Monster Hunter Generations to Switch, Nintendo's console is finally getting its own, brand-new Monster Hunter game. The game promises a gigantic world and hundreds of hours of beast-slaying.
Deathloop (Release date: May 21)
After years of focusing primarily on Dishonored, developers at Arkane Studios are moving on to Deathloop.

The game looks sick! You are an assassin trapped in a timeloop that resets after each day. To get out, you must kill eight “visionaries” scattered across an island. The caveat is that you have to do it within a time limit. The second caveat is that, as you hunt down the eight visionaries, a rival assassin is hunting you.
Deathloop will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC on May 21st, with the Xbox version likely coming next year.
