A few months ago, the MX Linux development team announced the second improved version of MX Linux 19 'Patito Feo'. After the release of the operating system, the company announced that it intends to create a distribution that will use the KDE Plasma desktop. Recently, the development team announced that the new beta distribution is now available for all MX Linux 19.2 users.
The new operating system distribution is considered the first official distribution based on Debian, but at the same time contains the KDE Plasma 5.14.15 desktop environment. However, it is only compatible with 64-bit.
Like the base Xfce release, MX Linux 19.2 KDE also uses the latest version of Debian buster, which contains the Debian (AHS) 5.6 kernel, many MX tools, antiX-live-usb-system, etc. In addition to many package updates, the release also brings GIMP 2.10.12, MESA 20.0.7 (AHS), MX AHS firmware packages, Firefox 79, VLC 3.0.11, Clementine 1.3.1, Thunderbird 68.11, and LibreOffice 6.1.5.

Unfortunately, users are already discovering many issues that are present in the beta version. For example, setting the system clock is not possible from the KDE settings. However, using the MX application, users can set the clock normally.
Installation method for MX Linux 19.2 KDE:
Because this particular version was released for the first time, there is no automatic way by which you can upgrade your system. However, when the official stable version of the operating system is released, users will be able to update the system using the familiar automatic method.
To install MX Linux 19.2 KDE, you will first need to download the installation file. Then, create a Bootable USBusing the file you just downloaded. Once the USB creation is complete, you will need to restart your computer, choosing to boot from your USB device.
