In the current stable version of Google Chrome 80, users have the option to allow or block cookies on all sites , or just block those from third parties. When the second case occurs (third-party cookies), some sites display a warning saying that they may not function properly due to the enabled restriction.
The new Cookies user interface in Canary for Androidallows for two additional cookie control procedures, beyond the two available in the stable version of the browser.
Below is a brief description of cookie data:
“Cookies are files created by the sites you visit. Sites use them to remember your preferences. Third-party cookies are created by other sites. These sites host some of the content, such as advertisements or images, that you see on the website you have visited.”
One of the new features added when the experimental feature is enabled prevents sites from reading and storing cookie data when you browse the web in incognito mode.
The second new option allows you to block all cookies. However, this is not the best option, as it can affect your overall browsing experience on many sites.
Of course, there is still the option to exclude some sites, even when the feature. This means that there is the option to block cookies on all sites but allow some.
The flag that enables the four features (two existing and two new) is called “Enable improved cookie controls in UI in incognito mode.” You can search for it in the 'chrome://flags' experimental area.
You can also find the experimental flag in the current stable version of Google Chrome, but it seems that the new Cookie menu is not enabled with it.
