A security researcher has discovered that the iPhone 11 Prois still collecting data , even when they have blocked this process.

The companyadmitted to the researcher that his discovery was valid, describing the fact as "expected behavior."

KrebsOnSecurity discovered the issue and reported it to Apple , even making a video. However, the company's response implies that certain "system services " continue to collect location data even when the user has opted out, across all individual system services and apps.

One of the strangest “behaviors” of Apple’s new iPhone 11 Pro is that it periodically seeks to collect a user’s location information even when all apps and system services on the phone are set to never request this data. Apple says this is in the design of the device, but this response seems to contradict the company’s privacy policy, the researcher said.

The policy says: “You can disable location-based system services by tapping on System Services and turning off each service individually.” However, there are some system services on this model that request location data and cannot be disabled by users without completely disabling location services.

Turning off location services completely works. However, even if you go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and turn off each app individually, and then go to System Services and turn them off as well, the device will still access your location sometimes.

Apple responded clearly by implying that there are some system services where users cannot choose whether or not their data is collected.

However, an Apple spokesperson said that it is not a security users and that this is expected behavior that occurs occasionally.

Apple's statement, however, seems to contradict policies that suggest that users gain granular control over the sharing of their location, since if someone wants to have Location Services enabled only in Maps and nowhere else, they cannot, despite the company's claims to the contrary.
