As you may know, Windows 10, version 1803 (Windows 10 April 2018 update), will soon be no longer supported by Microsoft. So the company has started showing end of support notifications to users running this version 1803, to upgrade to a recent (and supported) feature update.
Here we should note that there are many Windows 10 users who do not use version 1809 due to a serious data loss issue. The positive thing this time is that instead of forcing the update, Microsoft chose to warn users.
For now at least, because soon you will see your system being upgraded:
A post says that Microsoft plans to start pushing updates to devices running Windows 10 version 1803 if you haven't already updated to a recent version by the end of support date.
The support for the April 2018 Update of Windows 10 will end on November 12, 2019 for the Home and Pro editions. We will begin updating devices that run the April 2018 Update of Windows 10 from July 16, 2019, to ensure that these devices continue to be supported and remain secure. For more information, refer to the section for Windows 10, version 1903 in the release information dashboard.
The exact date on which the Windows 1803 update will cease to be supported is November 12, 2019 for the Home and Pro editions.
You can update Windows 10 to version 1903 (May 2019 Update) manually, by clicking the “Check for updates” button from the Settings – Windows Update path. If your system is not updating, your device may be blocked from Microsoft's blacklist for some reason. Usually this can happen because the hardware you are using has stopped being supported.
Also, Windows 10 Home and Pro users can pause this feature update for up to 35 days. It is a new upgrade policy that Microsoft is using these days.
Finally, you can wait a little and install version 1909 instead of Windows 10 version 1903. Windows 10, in both the 1803 and 1809 releases, will be able to update as soon as the new version is released in October 2019.
