PDF is usually a file for important documents. If you use PDF for the following tasks, this post will be of interest to you:
Edit, create forms or documents, reduce the size of a file (because PDF files can be much larger than Word documents), add notes that others can see, split PDFs, merge PDFs, and unlock password-protected PDFs.
There are more, but these are the most common actions. Below we will see how you can do them for free without downloading any special software.
Paperjet (Web): Fill out PDF forms and sign them.
Paperjet lets you edit and sign PDF files online
The most common task you'll need to do with a PDF is fill out a form. The quickest and easiest way is with Paperjet.
You'll need to sign up to use the service. Upload the document you're interested in, and the service will add text boxes. If a text box isn't available where you want it, you can add one yourself. You can customize the font, size, and color. You can also attach photos.
Paperjet is free for 10 PDF files per month, but if you want to use it for more files you will have to pay €5 per month.
Jotform (Web): Create PDF files for common forms & documents
Jotform is a free web application for creating PDF files for common forms and documents from templates.
The collection of templates is what makes Jotform different. The templates are divided into categories, such as certificates, consent agreement, contract, employee records, event planning, invitation, invoice, job application, lease agreement, medical history, performance evaluation, scholarship application, tickets, and vouchers. Each category has several types.
Once you find the form you're interested in, open it in the Jotform editor. You can edit any part of the form, including text, box and field alignment, and more. The only thing you can't remove is the Jotform watermark, which costs money.
Shrink PDF (Web): Reduce the size of PDFs
PDF files are generally much larger in size than a simple Office document. The service allows you to shrink PDFs without significant loss.
You can upload up to 20 PDF files at a time to Shrink PDF. You cannot change settings. Once the compression is complete, you will see the file size reduction in percentage. You can download all files together in a zip or each one individually.
Sumnotes (Web): Notes and comments in PDF
With the service you can add or read notes and comments to a PDF that can be viewed or written by others. Upload a PDF to Sumnotes and in a few seconds, it will show you all the comments in the file. You can copy-paste any note or even extract all the comments to a DOC or TXT file. Of course, you can delete any comment you don't want.
