Forget the iPhone 11.Apple's new models will excite you!
According to the reliable MacRumors, Apple plans to bring back Touch ID for the new iPhone models that will be released in 2020. And it may delay their release a bit, but it is going to take a technological leap, beyond anything we have seen so far!
The biggest difference, according to Barclays, is that Apple has developed a method to make the Touch ID sensor cover the entire screen. This means you'll be able to unlock this new iPhone with your fingerprint by tapping anywhere on the screen.
This revelation shouldn't come as a surprise, however, considering that since December, Apple has filed at least five in-display Touch ID patents, including photos and information that reveal that the technology won't just scan your fingerprint but create a 3D model of it.
Many may wonder why Apple is returning to Touch ID when Face ID is so popular. The answer is that the two technologies will work together, giving users more flexibility and also allowing for simultaneous dual biometric security that is extremely difficult to crack.
In addition to that, Barclays says that the models the company will release in 2020 will come with 5G support and a new game-changing 3D camera system, which was expected in the iPhone 11 but ultimately wasn't included in its features. Finally, all the new iPhones will have OLED displays, while the iPhone 209 XR2 will stick with its predecessor's low-resolution LCD.
Barclays did not mention the broader redesign that the iPhones that will be released in 2020 are expected to have. So if you don't urgently need a new phone, it's better to wait for the new models coming next year.
