Apple's 2019 iPhone may not feature any major upgrades in terms of design, but the real magic could lie elsewhere if all the recent rumors are anything to go by.
Recently, Barclays analysts predicted that the next iPhone family could come with support for Wi-Fi 6, thus providing faster wireless connectivity using the latest generation technology.
Wi-Fi 6 (ax) was announced in late 2018 and it is expected that the standard will be adopted by devices launching this year, including products from Apple and Samsung.

As for the South Korean company, for example, analysts believe that the Galaxy could use it, so we expect both the Galaxy S10 that will launch next month and the Galaxy Note 10 in the summer to include support for the technology.
Needless to say, iPhones coming with Wi-Fi 6 technology is just a guess at the moment, and confirmation will only be offered in September, when the new models are expected to be unveiled.
A report that made the rounds earlier this week indicated that the 2019 iPhone is already in its advanced stages and Apple is no longer expected to make any major changes.
The new generation could include three different models, all based on existing versions. There will be a successor to each 2018 iPhone, with the 2019 iPhone XR using a dual-camera system. The iPhone XS Max will be upgraded to feature three cameras on the back.
One specific question that has yet to be answered concerns 5G support. While reports circulating in late 2018 suggested that Apple could wait until 2020 to bring the feature to its devices, more recently it has been reported that the company is already in talks with Samsung and MediaTek.
