At Ignite developer conference , the company announced that its Cloud service, Azure, will soon have data protection features (confidential computing), capable of keeping your information safe in the event of a data breach.

With the launch of Azure confidential computing, Microsoft wants to make organizations that use its services feel more comfortable, without fear of their data being compromised, as happens on a daily basis. Microsoft noted that breaches carried out by cybercriminals usually leak data intended for analysis. Now with Azure Confidential, data will be safe even during analysis.
The new Azure confidential computing service is a set of features that will provide a reliable, stable and isolated service, which will provide the confidentiality and integrity of the data it processes. The isolated environment is known as a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). The purpose of a Trusted Execution Environment is to ensure that the data inside it is not accessible by anyone outside the isolated space. It is also responsible for protection against malicious code.
This new feature was announced in May. The types of TEEs that will be supported will be the software-based Virtual Secure Mode (VSM) and hardware-based solution Intel Software Guard Extensions (SGX).
Microsoft has said since May that it is in constant communication with new partners to expand the support it can provide. The new feature is available today for developers, and we expect it to be available to the general public in early October.
