However, it seems that one company is preparing to leave all its competitors behind. Huawei, the second largest phone manufacturer, has confirmed that its first foldable phone will also be the first to feature 5G functionality.

At the World Economic Forum, Huawei Chairman Ken Hu said: “In our first smartphone that will support 5G network, we will introduce a foldable screen.”

Hu also highlighted the three key uses of 5G: faster mobile broadband, lower latency, and the Internet of Things.

Samsung, on the other hand, is gearing up to launch its first foldable model, the Galaxy F. Samsung's CEO has already confirmed that the company will release the device by the end of this year. Although it is not known whether Samsung's foldable device will support 5G.

Many smartphone companies have already made statements about their upcoming devices that will support 5G networks. While none have given an exact date, they all seem to be talking about 2019 as the year their devices will gain access to 5G.

It seems like it all has to do with the saying “first come, first served.” It’s also obvious that the first manufacturer to release a 5G device will undoubtedly make huge sales!
