Apple releases iTunes 12.7.5 for Windows and Mac

Apple recently released a small package of improvements for the desktop version of iTunes on Windows and Mac systems, in addition to the operating system updates the company released a few hours ago.

With this update, iTunes reaches version 12.7.5 and according to the official release notes, this version only concerns application and performance improvements, without providing other details.

While it makes sense for iTunes to only bring minor improvements given that the previous version was released in late April, it is likely to include optimizations that improve compatibility with iOS 11.4, which is now available to download for iOS devices.

In other words, this updated version of iTunes ensures smooth upgrades on iPhone and iPad, while also enhancing backups and other tasks you may perform when connecting your device to the computer.

Apple recently launched the Windows 10 version of iTunes, and Microsoft users can download it anytime from the Microsoft Store.

There are essentially no differences between the desktop and Microsoft Store versions of Windows 10, and users get roughly the same experiences.

On the other hand, it is important to note that there is no update for the Windows 10 version and the latest version in the Microsoft Store is 12.7.4.83. This particular update is mainly useful for users who cannot install the Win32 version, such as systems powered by Windows 10 with S Mode enabled.

With Apple's WWDC conference taking place next week, this new iTunes update could include many more unannounced changes, as the company is likely to roll out the first iOS 12 developer preview.
