Gigabyte introduces three new server models, the H231-H60, H261-H60 and H261-H61.

The new SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) consist of two 2U 4node (2U4N) systems and one 2U 2-node system. Each node can support dual processors , so each unit runs on either two or four Xeon CPUs. GIGABYTE says the three additions mimic the previous architecture and performance of last year's units, but offer lower cost and better flexibility by removing the pre-installed 10GB/s BASE-T LAN card. This change allows users to customize their networking solution according to their needs.
The H261-H60 and H261-H61 are 2U4N devices capable of supporting 2 x LP and 1 x OCP sockets. Inside the H261-H60 the design gives each Intel Xeon processor eight DRAM sockets, so 16 per node and a total of 64 across the device. The front of the chassis measures 12 x 3.5.

The H231-H60 replaces the two top nodes with dedicated GPU slots, making it a 2U2N system. Like the H261-H60 / H61, the H231 also supports 2 x LP and 1 x OCP slots for expansion as well as the same DRAM layout (eight slots per CPU, 16 per node) for a total of 32.

In addition, the new servers will use the MH61-HD5 motherboard that supports Intel Xeon (Skylake-SP) consisting of Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze models up to 165W. The integrated LAN network provides users with a dedicated port for node management as well as a single 1GbE Controller for monitoring the status of the computers.
