Windows Phones are over! Their sales share is at 0%

Windows Phones: Microsoft has already confirmed that there are no new features and hardware planned for Windows 10 Mobile, so it's no surprise that the platform continues to lose ground in every market worldwide.

According to statistics from Kantar, Windows Phones have a sales share of 0%, even in Europe where Microsoft's mobile operating system was more successful than anywhere else.

Specifically, Windows phones saw a decline of 2.1% in Germany and 1.7% in the United Kingdom. The biggest drop was observed in France, where it fell from 3.1% to 0.5%. Overall, in Europe the market share reaches 0.7%, reduced by 2% from the previous year's percentage.Windows Phone

The situation is no better in the United States, where the market is dominated by Android and iOS devices. Windows Phones' share fell to 0.5%, while Android share increased by 4% to 59.4%. This means that 6 out of 10 phones sold in the US last quarter ran Android.

On the other hand, the only market that saw an improvement in Windows phones is China with a small increase of 0.1%. Of course, this does not mean they compare to Androids that reach the top with 75.5%.

To sum up, it's pretty clear that Windows phones are headed for extinction, with Microsoft not keen on reversing that trend. Instead, the company is focusing more on improving its apps and services on iOS and Android, so if you're still on Windows Phone, you know what to do.
