RaspAnd Build 171215: A new version of the RaspAnd GNU/ Linux operating system for Single Raspberry Pi 3 computers has been recently released, adding the latest software versions.
RaspAnd Build 171215 is still based on Google's Nougat 7.1.2 operating system which comes pre-installed with the GAPPS (Google Apps) package that offers users the Google Play Store to install Android, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi improvements, and the latest TeamViewer 13 for controlling other computers via Raspberry Pi 3 SBC.
Some of the positives of the new version are improved video performance and a more stable Wi-Fi connection since the system reconnects after each reboot of the Raspberry Pi 3.
The new RaspAnd build also comes pre-installed with Kodi 17.6 media center, Aptoide TV 3.2.5 package manager, ES File Explorer 4.1.6.7.5 file manager, Spotify TV 1.6.3 music player as well as the strategy game Clash of Clans 9.256.19 with Google Play Games support.
Additionally, users will find the Terminal emulator, AIDA64 1.47 hardware and software information utility, Jelly Browser 7.1.2, and Chess 2.3.6. It should be noted that RaspAnd Nougat 7.1.2 Build 171215 is powered by the Linux kernel 4.4.104-exton-v7+ and partially supports the Raspberry Pi Foundation's 7-inch touchscreen.
Another interesting feature implemented in RaspAnd Nougat 7.1.2 with GAPPS is the ability to install the operating system on a Micro SD card in Windows 10 using either Win32 Disk Imager or the Etcher utility.
