Vivaldi Browser is available on Raspberry Pi systems

Vivaldi Technologies has announced the availability of its Chromium-based Vivaldi browser for ARM-based devices such as the popular Raspberry Pi.

The initial build of Vivaldi for Raspberry Pi Single-Board Computers, officially supported on the Raspberry Pi 2, Raspberry Pi 3, and Raspberry Pi Zero, as well as the ASUS Tinker Board, CubieBoard, and many other SBCs that can run a Linux.Vivaldi

Vivaldi Technologies decided to create a build for ARM devices offering a series of features and customizations for "do it yourself" fans who use standalone devices like the Raspberry Pi, giving them all the tools for maximum productivity.

Vivaldi for Raspberry Pi will allow you to tweak various settings that will boost the overall performance of your device by reducing resource usage, disabling animated GIFs, or switching to the advanced reading view for a clutter-free reading experience. Additionally, there is tab grouping, note taking, and screenshot taking.

Those who want to try out the Viνaldi browser on a Raspberry Pi or other ARM-based device running a GNU/Linux distribution can download Viνaldi for Linux ARM. Note that, for now, Viνaldi for ARM is distributed as a DEB file for Debian/Ubuntu-based distributions.

Viνaldi is based on the open source Chromium web browser and is also available for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. Currently, Viνaldi Technologies is working on the next major release, Vivialdi 1.14, which will finally bring the long-awaited Sync feature.
