HackInnow 2017: For the second consecutive year, Groupama Insurance and Corallia of the EP Athena are organizing the HackInnow open innovation competition with the aim of creating new technologies, applications, platforms and processes that will allow the upgrading of the tools and methods currently applied in private insurance and the offering of improved services and experiences to citizens.
The HackInnow 2017 competition process will be held on Friday, December 1stand Saturday 2nd, at the campus of the American College of Greece in Agia Paraskevi.
HackInnow 2017 is open to anyone aged 18 and over, with any level of education and from any scientific field without any restrictions. It is aimed at students, young scientists, professionals from the insurance and financial sectors, programmers, engineers, doctors, analysts, designers, economists, communication and marketing executives, entrepreneurs-to-be, etc., as well as enthusiasts of new technologies and those who are enthusiastic about the development of innovative tools, solutions, applications, methods and new business models.
Participation is free.
Contestants can freely choose one of the cutting-edge challenges set by HackInnow each year, the one that excites them, and with the guidance of distinguished mentors, create their own disruptive proposal in the private insurance sector.
The HackInnow 2017 processes culminate in the competition section on December 1-2, but they begin earlier with the Warmup on Monday , November 20 , which will contribute to building stronger teams and a better understanding of the challenges of HackInnow 2017, and continue after the end of the competition process by exploring collaborations with the distinguished teams for the further maturation and exploitation of the solutions that will be developed.
HackInnow 2017 will award the winners with the following prizes:
- The first three winning teams of HackInnow 2017 will receive cash prizes of €3,000, €2,000 and €1,000 respectively and an individual participation to attend the Digital & Social Media Diploma at the American College of Greece.
- The HackInnow 2017 team with the most mature and commercially viable idea will have the opportunity to attend a technology event in Europe.
- All members of the winning teams of HackInnow 2017 will also receive the Santé Primary Care insurance product from Groupama Insurance.
HackInnow a member of the multinational Groupama group with a history of over 100 years, and Corallia of the Athena Foundation, a cornerstone of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country since 2005. The core of the collaboration is, on the one hand, Groupama's international strategic goal of promoting innovation in the insurance industry and, on the other hand, Corallia's continuous effort to further strengthen innovation and stem the brain drain in Greece.
