The Tor Project has announced the release of the first point release of Tor Browser 6.5. Version 6.5.1 is the first maintenance release of version 6.5.
Tor Browser 6.5.1 appears to be a minor release that comes with support for new technologies, such as the anonymous Tor network 0.2.9.10, OpenSSL 1.0.2k, HTTPS-Everywhere 5.2.11, and Torbutton 1.9.6.14.
It also has the latest security updates recently released by the Mozilla Foundation for the Firefox 45.8.0 ESR web browser.
The first maintenance release of Tor Browser 6.5 stable also fixes a bug that existed on GNU/Linux platforms and was reported as: “Using a system-installed Tor.” It also updates various translations into other languages.
