The new Android that everyone expected to be called Nutella but ended up being Android Nougat is almost certain to be released on August 22. We already knew it would be released in August, but now there are two very good indications that point to this specific release date.
Android Central reports that a Canadian carrier is reporting an 'Android N Update' for Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X devices on this date.
Additionally, LG, which will release the first new phone running Android Nougat on September 6, is giving access to OS testers from Korea (they're testing the G5) starting August 22.
To be clear, the August 22 update will likely only be released for Nexus phones. If you're impatient, you can currently only download the beta builds, which are close to the final public builds, but it looks like you won't have to wait long for the actual final release.
