Operation

Nmap is a tool that can also be characterized as malicious like many tools of this type. But it is mainly used for protection purposes, such as finding a vulnerable point in the network and fixing it.
Legally, Nmap must be used on authorized systems. In the case that a scan is performed on an unauthorized port of the system, this action is considered illegal and prosecuted.
