Google's Project Tango has gone international (international, that's what it sounds like). The company began shipping a developer edition of its 3D-mapping tablet in Canada and South Korea today, marking the start of sales outside the United States.
The tablet features an Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity.
It is 7 inches with a 1920×1200 screen and its battery is 4960 mAh.
Of course, the main highlight is the 4-megapixel camera on the back of the device. The camera is capable of tracking movement in three dimensions and capturing environmental features.
Project Tango first launched in the US in May. Anyone can buy one, but Google emphasizes that the device is designed for developers.
Google says the device will be available in more countries starting August 26. So we'll see it in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
As you noticed, the device will not be available in Greece. So it is not true that it was released internationally.
Lest we forget
“A localist is someone who believes that their country is better than Greece”
The device can be purchased from the Google Store.
