Samsung has just confirmed that its Unpacked event will take place on August 13. The event is set to officially unveil the new Galaxy Note 5.
The company typically holds two Unpacked events a year. The first event is held during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and the other at the IFA trade show in Berlin.

This time, however, it seems that the South Korean company is in a hurry. The reason?
It is trying to avoid competition with Apple's upcoming iPhone 6s and so decided to release its next flagship two weeks early.
But the Galaxy Note 5 will not only be announced earlier than expected, but according to the company the phablet will be available on the market by the end of August.
According to rumors, Samsung is expected to unveil not one, but two high-end Android smartphones during the event.
In addition to the Galaxy Note 5, the company is also reportedly set to announce the Galaxy S6 edge+, which is very likely to be an enhanced version of the Galaxy S6 edge that has been on the market since April.
Unlike the Galaxy Note 5, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ will be available worldwide from August 21st, or somewhere close to that date.
Regarding the availability of the Galaxy Note 5, it is reported that it will be released in selected markets starting from August 21. However, there is a high possibility that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will not be available in European countries until the end of 2015.
We don't know anything yet about the pricing of the upcoming devices, but we can assume that they will be slightly more expensive than the previous models.
