The Hellenic Police's Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate investigated a case involving child pornography and the violation of personal data via the internet, while a regular criminal case was filed against a 16-year-old Greek national.

Specifically, the investigation into this case began following recent complaints from three underage girls (14, 15 and 15 years old) who went in person to the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate.

According to the allegations, an unknown person had created a page on "Facebook", which contained indecent photos of underage girls, including photos of the girls who reported the incident.

The competent prosecution authorities were informed of the above and a preliminary examination was ordered. The online investigation that followed, in collaboration with internet service and social networking companies, yielded the details of the owner of the internet connection in question, as well as the electronic traces of the administrator of the above page on the internet.

As part of the ongoing thorough digital analysis, it was determined that the page in question was managed by a 16-year-old Greek national, who resides in an area of the northeastern suburbs of Attica.

Police officers from the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, on 21.11.2014, conducted a search of his home, during which two (2) internal hard drives were found and seized, which will be sent to forensic laboratories for the necessary examinations.

From the on-site inspection that was carried out, it was determined that he was using a fake female profile on the page he had created on "Facebook", while both the profile and the page had been deactivated.

A regular procedure file was drawn up for the case, which will be submitted to the competent Misdemeanor Court Prosecutor's Office.
