A man was stunned in the state of Maine, USA, when he requested a $140 withdrawal from the ATM and that one... offered $37,000.
The local police were notified after a call from a woman who told them that a man had been standing in front of the TD Bank ATM for a very long time.
The police found the man had put the money in shopping bags.
The money was returned to the bank and the man was not charged.
According to the bank, it is a malfunction that affected the ATM machine and it assured that the customers' deposits were not affected by this error.
