Apache OpenOffice is a complete open source office suite. It includes a word processor (Writer), spreadsheet (Calc), presentation creator (Impress), and drawing program (Draw). It runs on all platforms (Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Linux, Mac OS).
It has the same functionality as other popular office applications (such as MS Office) and is therefore the ideal solution for businesses, schools and organizations, as they can obtain it freely. OpenOffice can read and write, among other things, Word, Excel and Powerpoint files.
