Gmail email service users are advised to be on the lookout for fake messages purporting to come from "The Google Team."
According to Webroot, the messages say something like: "Automated Reporting Service: You have missed emails."
When recipients click on the link, they are redirected to a malicious pharmacy website, which is usually perceived as spam by the email service. Many similar websites are hosted on the same server.
As usual, users are advised not to buy anything from untrustworthy online stores, especially if they involve pharmaceutical products and are advertised through spam emails.
On the other hand, of course, we should also be careful of fake emails, which can also be used in phishing scams. There are certainly many users who could fall victim and enter their details on a fake page that they were redirected to by a link they received via private message.
