Facebook is violating EU laws.

Facebook

According to a report by the Guardian, a recent study by the Belgian Data Protection Commission found that Facebook is violating European law.

The report claims that the popular network monitors all users, even those not logged into the social network, those who have deleted their accounts, and even users who don't even have an account!

The privacy violation is related to the popular network's social plugins. When someone visits a third-party website that uses plugins , data is transferred back to the leading social network even if there is no interaction with these plugins.

European Union Privacy Law states that prior consent must be given for cookie operation or tracking, unless it is required for networking to connect to the service (criterion A) or for the provision of a service specifically requested by the user.

The same law requires websites to notify users upon their first visit to their site about the use of cookies, simultaneously requesting their consent to proceed with this use.

So far, there has been no official response from the social network regarding the alleged violation.
