Over 1 million taxpayers will be faced with the Golgotha of correcting their property data in the coming days. On November 15, the electronic application for submitting initial and amending E9 declarations for the year 2014 is expected to open, based on which ENFIA will be re-determined.
– Submission of initial and amending E9 declarations for VAT year 2010. Until now, these declarations were submitted to the Tax Office.
– Submission of initial E9 declarations for VAT year 2011-2012-2013.
The deadline for correcting the erroneous E9 normally expires on November 30. However the General Secretary of Public Revenue Kat. Savvaidou, speaking at an accountants – tax advisors seminar, left open the possibility of an extension, with the information stating that the deadline will be extended at least until December 20.
Among the errors and omissions that taxpayers must correct and complete in the electronic E9 are:
1. Empty and unelectrified building in 2013: Taxpayers who own properties that were empty and without electricity throughout 2013 and did not see a 20% discount in the new ENFIA tax returns will have to correct and complete the details of their properties on form E9. They will have to proceed:
– either by filling code 8 in column 32, so that they declare that their building was «empty»
– either in filling the supply number of DEI (columns 30 and 31 of table 1).
– either in filling all the above codes and the indications together.
