Samsung admits child labor at supplier factory

China Labor Watch had accused Samsung of employing children and underage students at its supplier Shinyang Electronics  factory in Dongguan

The New York-based organization China Labor Watch , which investigates working conditions in China , announced that children were working at the factory during periods of high demand , but Samsung initially denied this and pledged to investigate .

In the CLW report, in this particular factory, during periods of high demand for Samsung products, children under 16 for 3 to 6 months and 11 hours of work per day without being paid overtime and without having insurance.

Finally, the company admitted that underage children were working at Shinyang Electronics and announced that it was ending its cooperation with it.
