Social dividend beneficiaries will receive free internet access for 12 months in eight regions of the country in July
Beneficiaries of the social dividend will have free Internet connection for 12 months, as well as training in computer use, as provided for in the new action of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The action will begin immediately in July in eight regions of the country (Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Epirus, Thessaly, Ionian Islands, Western Greece, Peloponnese, North Aegean and Crete).
Yesterday, the Secretary General of Telecommunications, Posts and Digital Convergence, Menelaos Daskalakis, announced the completion of the planning of the new action for all families/households, which are beneficiaries of the social dividend.
Through simple procedures and the use of a "Digital Solidarity" coupon, which will be exchanged at any of the businesses collaborating with the action, beneficiaries will have the opportunity to:
To obtain or maintain their internet connection for 12 months
To acquire basic equipment for internet access and familiarity with computers (PC or Tablet)
To be trained in their workplace in basic computer and internet use by certified trainers in Information and Communications Technologies.
