In order to immediately lift the ban on YouTube in Turkey, the owners of the well-known website have appealed to the Turkish Constitutional Court. The appeal was filed with the court by an Istanbul lawyer, requesting that the website be made "immediately" accessible, the agency explained.
As is known, the blockade was ordered by the Turkish government, following the publication of the recording of a conversation about Syria, as reported by an AFP source.
Recall that last Friday, while an Ankara court ordered the lifting of the YouTube ban, the same court later decided to block access to 15 videos and announced that the YouTube ban would remain in effect until these videos are removed.
At the same time, Twitter has remained blocked since March 20 by a decision by Islamic-conservative Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to stop the broadcast of phone intercepts implicating him in a corruption scandal.
