Researchers at Panda Labs have identified a new spam campaign that uses the name of Brazil and Barcelona star Neymar to distribute malware.
The malicious emails supposedly contain a revealing video of the young footballer, in private moments with his girlfriend Bruna Marquezine. In order to view the video, users are asked to follow a link, through which they are transferred to a website that serves a file named Vide0_Intimo.zip. When the file is opened, the victim is presented with a message informing them that the website is under maintenance and that the video cannot be displayed. In the background, however, a piece of malware designed to steal bank account details is installed.
This campaign seems to be particularly successful, as rumors of Neymar and Bruna's separation have been making the rounds on the internet over the past few days.
