Zotac , the well-known manufacturer of graphics cards, motherboards and other accessories, announced during CES 2014 the expansion of the ZBOX nano series with the addition of two new devices with an ARM processor and Android or Ubuntu operating system.

Both models feature a quad-core 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage. You'll also find a 2.5-inch drive bay, SD card reader support, four USB 2.0 ports, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, and HDMI.

The Android model runs version 4.0, with an update to version 4.2 coming soon. The Ubuntu model runs version 12.04. Both models are expected to be available in the US in the second quarter of 2014 with prices ranging up to $150.

If Android or Ubuntu aren't your thing, the company has also upgraded the ZBOX nano with the latest generation of Intel processors (Haswell models) for high performance with low energy consumption. Specifically, in the first model the processor is quad-core clocked at 2.7GHz with support for up to 16GB of RAM, while in the second model the processor is clocked at 3.2GHz.

They also feature Intel's integrated graphics card (Iris Pro Graphics 5200), four USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, a 2.5-inch drive bay and an SSD. Neither model comes pre-installed with an operating system, so you'll have to install it yourself later.
