Rod Smith got the shock of his life when he realized someone had hacked into his profile and spread the word that he had died from "complications" during surgery.

"Sadly Rod passed away this afternoon due to complications during surgery at Maidstone Hospital," the message posted said.
Immediately, shocked relatives and close friends began calling his parents to express their condolences.
The 45-year-old from Kent said he knew something was wrong when he saw his father arrive at the hospital looking anxious and almost crying.
"When my father came to pick me up from the hospital, his eyes looked swollen from crying. It's so sick to do something like that. I was shocked. I couldn't believe it," he told the local newspaper.
